Band 7 sample answer
The famous person I would like to talk about is Abdulla Qodiriy, who was one of the greatest Uzbek writers of the twentieth century. He is best known for his novel “O'tkan kunlar”, which many people regard as the first major Uzbek novel.
I first learned about him in school literature classes, and later I read his book for myself during a winter holiday. The story is set in the nineteenth century and follows a young man and woman whose love faces many obstacles because of family traditions and political conflict. What surprised me was how modern the emotions felt. Even though the language is a little old, I was completely absorbed.
I think he is respected because he created a new form of literature in our language, and he showed ordinary readers that Uzbek could be used for deep, artistic storytelling. Unfortunately, he also suffered greatly in his lifetime, and his work was not fully appreciated until later.
Today, there are monuments and a museum dedicated to him, and the book was turned into a film and a television series. For me, he is an example of how a person who loves his culture can leave a lasting mark. Whenever I feel unmotivated, I remember how much he achieved under difficult circumstances. I once took my younger brother to the museum devoted to him, and he was surprised to see the original handwriting. He started reading the book soon afterwards, so I like to think that visit made a small difference for the next generation.
