Band 7 sample answer
A piece of clothing that I really like is my dark blue denim jacket. I bought it about three years ago in a small shop near my university, and it was on sale, which made it even better.
It is simple but stylish, with a soft fabric and a slightly loose fit. I wear it in autumn and spring, when it is not too cold, usually with jeans or a plain white T-shirt.
I like it because it goes with almost everything, and it is very comfortable, so I do not have to think about what to wear in the morning. It is also well made, so after three years it still looks almost new.
I also like it because it has some history. Once, on a trip to the mountains, it kept me warm when the weather suddenly changed, and a small tear on the sleeve reminds me of climbing a fence on that day. I decided not to repair it because it makes the jacket feel unique.
Another reason is emotional: I wore it on my first day at university, and many of my best memories with friends are connected with it. I plan to keep it for a long time.
