Band 7 sample answer
I would like to describe Mustaqillik Park in my city, which I visit almost every weekend. It is about fifteen minutes from my home by bus, and it is one of the largest green areas in the centre.
The park has wide paths lined with tall trees, a small lake with ducks and several fountains. In spring, the flower beds are full of tulips, and in the evening the lights make the whole place feel magical. There are also cafés, a playground and a corner where elderly men play chess.
I usually go there with friends to walk, talk and sometimes read on a bench by the lake. Sometimes I jog in the early morning, when the air is fresh and there are only a few people around.
One memory stands out in particular. Last spring, my friends and I had a small picnic by the lake and stayed until sunset. We talked about our plans for the future, and the ducks even came close to our blanket, which made the whole afternoon feel peaceful and special.
The reason I like it is that it gives me a break from the noise of the city. Even a short walk there makes me feel calmer, and I think every city needs places like this.
