Questions and sample answers
How do you usually travel around your city?
I mostly take the metro and sometimes the bus. The metro is fast and cheap, and it avoids traffic jams, which can be terrible at rush hour.
Is public transport good in your city?
It is improving. The metro is clean and reliable, but buses can be crowded in the mornings, and some routes do not run late at night.
Do you prefer buses or trains?
Trains, because they are faster and more comfortable. On a bus, I often get stuck in traffic, whereas the train arrives on time.
How could public transport be improved?
More frequent buses, better night services and an easy mobile app for tickets would help a lot. Also, more bus lanes would make journeys faster.
Do many people use bicycles where you live?
Not as many as in some countries. There are few cycle lanes, so people feel it is unsafe, but the number of cyclists is slowly growing.
Would you ever want to travel to work by car?
Only if the distance were long. Driving in the city is stressful and parking is expensive, so I would rather use the metro.
